Airplane tours

Location
The flights depart from Zárate Aerodrome, located a 60-minute drive from the center of the city of Buenos Aires.
Planes
We use Piper Archer planes with capacity for 1 pilot and 3 passengers and Cessna 152 planes with capacity for 1 pilot and 1 passenger.

General rules

Flight days and schedules:
Flights are available every day of the week, including weekends and holidays, from 9:00 to 18:00 hours. No night flights are operated.

Due to the absence of public service offices at the aerodrome, it is necessary to make a reservation in advance to be able to take a flight.
Minimum age
The minimum age required to participate in a flight is 2 years old, and the price is the same for all passengers, regardless of their age.
Weight limitations
Due to weight and balance limitations in the aircraft, it is important to keep in mind that the total weight of the passengers must not exceed the established limits: 210 kg for the Piper Archer and 70 kg for the Cessna 152 (which is equivalent to an average of 70 kg per person). Likewise, it is important to note that the maximum weight allowed per person is 120 kg.
People with limited mobility
To ensure the safety of all passengers, it is important that everyone can exit the plane on their own in case it is necessary. If any passenger has a physical limitation, please inform us before making the reservation so that we can take the necessary precautions.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers have a specific validity date that must be respected. After that period, the voucher will expire, and a penalty for 100% of the value of the service will be applied. It is important to note that gift vouchers are non-refundable.

Before your flight

Luggage
Only small carry-on bags are allowed on board, as luggage compartments in airplanes are limited in size.
Dress code
We suggest that passengers wear comfortable and dark-colored clothes to avoid reflections on the airplane windows that may appear in photos.
Check-in time
We recommend that passengers take necessary precautions to arrive at the airport at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please note that there is a 10-minute grace period for any delay, after which the flight will be cancelled and the corresponding penalty for no-show will be charged.

Any delay on your part may affect the rest of the scheduled activities. It is always better to wait a few minutes at the airport than to arrive late and miss your flight!

Booking process

When to book
We accept reservations up to 15 days in advance of the flight date. If your reservation is within this period, we recommend that you make it as soon as possible to ensure aircraft availability.

To make a reservation, it will be necessary to make a payment of a 50% deposit or the full amount of the service (see payment methods).
Booking confirmation
After the payment of the deposit or the full payment has been credited, reservations will be confirmed by email.
Changes to the reservation
Any request for changes to a reserved and confirmed flight, such as changes to dates, times, itineraries, destinations, or others, will be subject to aircraft availability and additional costs that may apply.

Requests for changes must be made at least 72 hours in advance of the flight date. If a change is requested within 72 hours of the flight date, a penalty of 50% of the total original fare will be applied, in addition to any additional costs that may apply for the change itself.

If there is no availability to make the requested change and the customer cannot comply with the originally reserved itinerary, or if they do not accept a tariff modification due to the requested change, the service will be canceled and the same penalties that apply in the case of a cancellation by the customer will be applied, as specified in the "Cancellations" section.
Cancellation
If the client cancels their reservation, the following penalties will apply: if the cancellation is made more than 72 hours in advance of the flight date, 50% of the total fee will be charged; if the cancellation is made between 72 and 24 hours before the flight date, 75% of the total fee will be charged; if the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the flight date or if the client does not show up on the flight date, 100% of the total fee will be charged.

If Tours en avión cancels the reservation, the client will be refunded the full amount paid.

There will be no exceptions to the applicable charges or penalties for change or cancellation requests due to reasons related to COVID-19.

Prices and Payment Options

Payment methods
Payments for the services offered can be made by bank transfer, cash deposit, or through PayPal (with a 5% surcharge) before the flight date. Considering possible delays in these transactions, no payment will be recognized until the funds are credited to the corresponding account.

Payment in cash at the airport is also accepted.
Refunds
In case of requesting a refund, the same payment method and currency used to make the reservation will be used.

Any bank commission or expense related to such transaction will be borne by the customer and deducted from the refund amount.

An additional 5% charge will be applied on the refund amount for administrative processing fees. This charge will not apply if the refund is due to a cancellation of the service by Tours en Avión, unrelated to weather conditions.

The processing of the refund request and the payment period may take up to 10 business days.

Modifications to the flight

Meteorology
The pilot is solely responsible for determining whether the weather conditions allow the flight to take place or not.

If there is adverse weather at the time of the flight, such as rain, strong winds, or low visibility, the customer can choose to request a refund (see our refund policy) or reschedule the flight for a date within 15 days of the original date. After that time, the reservation will expire, and a penalty of 100% of the total service will be applied.

If the customer decides to reschedule the flight due to the weather forecast, the policies described in the "Changes to the Reservation" section will apply.

If the customer decides not to travel due to the weather conditions at the scheduled time, but the flights are operating, a penalty of 100% of the total cost of the service will apply.
Changes to the itinerary
A flight may be subject to delays or rescheduling and the proposed itineraries may vary due to weather or force majeure reasons. The customer cannot hold Tours en Avión responsible for events based on any of the reasons mentioned.
Duration of the activity
Due to the fact that the time of each tour is measured from the moment the engine starts until it stops, it is possible that the total flight time is less than the total duration of the activity, as the latter also includes the time required on the ground to carry out the procedures and maneuvers before and after takeoff/landing.

Disclaimer
Tours en avión provides advisory services and acts as an intermediary between customers and air operators authorized by the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) according to Argentine Civil Aviation Regulations (RAAC).

It is worth noting that Tours en avión does not own or operate aircraft, nor does it act as an air carrier. Therefore, the responsibility for air services provided to customers lies exclusively with the air operators, who must comply with applicable requirements and regulations.

In addition, all passengers traveling on aircraft operated by air operators recommended by Tours en Avión are covered by the corresponding operator's insurance. Tours en Avión does not provide any additional coverage to passengers.
